Mod Explanation?
I earlier asked on a defferent site what a good set of daggers was for my assassain. She has 15 dagger mastery so req is not a problem. The answer someone gave me was "Zodiac Daggs 15^50 ~70". I feel a bit stupid for asking this, but what are the mods on this? I need clarification on the meanings of "15^50" or the "~70". Sadly I'm not new at gw so I cannot use that as an excuse of why I don't know.

15>50 is the Inscription "Strength and Honor" Which just means it does 15% Damage while your health is above 50%
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Inscription No Idea what "~70" means. You can try and figure it out here: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Weapon_modifier Or wait for someone else to tell you... |

"15^50" This refers to the +15% damage (when health is above 50%) modification/inscription.
"~70" This must have been a typo. In regards to weapons, that number means nuthing. Most likely they were offering to sell the daggers to you for 70k. No other mods are explained from that line ^_^" hope that all helps! Cheers! EDIT:: LoL, i type slow! |

^_^ I WIN!!!!! BUWHAHAHHAHA
lol, yeah, they probably meant 70k by that "~70" thingy, would be the only thing I could think of, since Zodiac skin is fairly rare... |

To answer your question about a good set of daggers, most popular are those with the following:
- a Zealous Dagger Tang - a 15^50 inscription - and one of the Armor Handles A set with those specs would be good for general use. I think you can find some for under 70k.

There's these: [wiki]Ceremonial Daggers[/wiki]. You get them for free with an Amulet of the Mists when you beat Factions. I like Fortitude mods a bit more personally but an armor mod is good too.

The mods were already listed for your explanation, but onto the crux of your request.
Skin: Up to you. People might suggest Zodiac or what not, but its all up to you. Collector's is as good as anything else if you don't care about appearances. Mods: There is no "ideal" mod, it depends upon the builds and the person's interests. For instance, 15^50 (+15% Damage when health is above 50%) on a weapon that is 7-17 (more likely to critical asside...) is only an additional 1.05-2.55 (rounding aside...) damage per hit. Personally, I would much rather have +5 Energy. The specific build: [skill]Shadow Prison[/skill][skill]Unsuspecting Strike[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Twisting Fangs[/skill][skill]Black Lotus Strike[/skill][skill]Blades of Steel[/skill][skill]Feigned Neutrality[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] I use most often requires a certain amount of energy to run without any delays. So the additional damage of more skills (and the speed of getting them off), is more valuable to me than 1 or 2 more damage per hit. The Daggers I use are Zealous, +5 Energy, +5 Armor (though I have a similar set with +30 Health, since Degeneration on Assassins hurts and sometimes a few more seconds matter.) Typically I save the 15^50 mods for weapons with high-end damage (Hammers, Scythes, etc) or builds that wouldn't benefit from energy (for instance, a pure adrenaline build.) And I believe it was in the Q&A forum where a +30 Health vs. +5 Armor mod debate sprung up. There also has to be a thousand Sundering vs. Vampiric debates too. You just have to ask yourself what mods would benefit the build you're trying to run, and use those. If you need more help than that, I'd be more than happy to look at your build and make suggestions. |
